Timber Frame Shelter
Prince George, BC
- Commercial

Project Highlight
We were retained by the timber frame contractor to complete a structural review of the heavy timber superstructure and design the supporting foundation system for this custom shelter structure. The structure utilized a traditional heavy timber framing approach with no engineered wood products incorporated into the superstructure.
This required careful structural analysis to evaluate member behavior, connection detailing, and overall constructability while ensuring long-term durability of the exposed timber elements. Our scope also included the design of the concrete raft foundation supporting the structure and coordination of the braced frame system used to provide lateral stability.
The result is a clean and durable timber structure that highlights the craftsmanship of traditional timber construction while delivering reliable structural performance.
