StackCells Support Structures, Platforms & Pipe Supports

Project Highlight

The installation of two StackCells at Red Chris Mine marked the first application of this tank technology anywhere in the world, requiring a structural solution capable of supporting large elevated process equipment within a fully operational mining facility.

We were responsible for designing the supporting steel structures, suspended concrete platforms, raft slab foundations, and associated access and pipe support systems. Positioned well above grade and structurally isolated from the main building, the StackCells required a carefully engineered seismic force-resisting system. Working within the constraints of existing foundations, piping, and operating infrastructure, we developed structural solutions that balanced strength, constructability, and integration with the surrounding facility.

By combining advanced steel design expertise with practical site experience, we delivered a dependable structural system capable of supporting this first-of-its-kind installation in a demanding industrial environment.
