Project Highlight

This supportive housing project utilized prefabricated modular construction, requiring a structural approach tailored to both factory fabrication and efficient on-site assembly. As Engineer of Record, we developed structural solutions for wood frame modular units supported on concrete foundations, with shear walls providing lateral stability and overall structural performance.

Modular construction demands careful coordination between structural design and fabrication processes. We worked closely with the modular manufacturer to develop structural detailing that aligned with factory production while maintaining structural integrity and meeting code requirements. By approaching the design with flexibility and a practical mindset, we were able to minimize site-installed structural work and streamline installation.

The result is a well-coordinated and durable facility that delivers much-needed supportive housing for the Prince George community.
