Bruce joined the Access team in 2013 and is a seasoned Professional Engineer, Certified Professional, and Red Seal carpenter with over a decade of experience. Bruce leads a diverse range of projects, emphasizing a well-defined design process, effective management, and collaborative leadership to ensure successful project delivery.
Tanner Braaten, P. Eng., Partner
Tanner joined the Access team in 2019 and is a structural engineer with a passion for wood design. He leads structural analysis and design for mid-rise multi-residential and commercial projects, combining precision, strong management, and a collaborative approach to deliver exceptional results.
Lyndon Martell, P. Eng., Partner
Lyndon joined the Access team full time in 2017 and is the driving force behind our complex industrial designs. With extensive experience on mine sites and processing facilities, he leads heavy industrial projects with advanced expertise in structural steel, building, and connection design.
Fergus Foley, P.Eng., Struct. Eng., Founder
Fergus is the founder of Access Engineering and a pillar of structural expertise in Northern BC. Since 1983, he has designed a wide range of structures and serves as our dedicated Independent Reviewer, providing invaluable mentorship and deep knowledge of regional design and building regulations.
Braedon Cooreman, E.I.T.
Braedon joined the Access team in 2020 and is our champion of modern wood structures! A UNBC Master of Engineering graduate in Integrated Wood Design, he specializes in heavy timber and innovative engineered wood products, driving the industry toward sustainable building design.
Ala’a Suheimat, E.I.T
Ala’a joined the Access team in 2023 and is our queen of concrete! A Civil Engineering graduate from the University of Jordan, she brings over a decade of expertise in reinforced concrete design and finite element analysis, shaping mid to large-scale building developments with precision.
Kris Talkington, Design Technologist
Kris joined Access in 2019 and is our BIM wizard and building design expert! A CNC Building Design Technology graduate, he brings decades of experience in architectural and structural design, delivering comprehensive design packages.
Helmut Schoenfeld, Design Technologist
Helmut has been with Access since 2019 and is our structural steel expert with over 20 years of field experience! A TRU Architecture and Engineering Technology graduate, he combines hands-on knowledge with technical precision to produce outstanding design drawings that get it right the first time.
Allisha Clemetson, Human Resources Manager, Partner
Allisha has been with Access since 2016 and is the driving force behind HR and finance! A top graduate of CNC’s Bookkeeping Program, she leads HR management, oversees finances, and collaborates with operations to shape our corporate culture.
Karisty Oliver, Office Manager
Karisty joined the Access team in 2022, a graduate of CNC’s Bookkeeping Program, she keeps our operations running seamlessly with precision and expertise.

Jordan Nichols, Structural Design Coordinator
Jordan joined the Access team in 2024, bringing a unique perspective on constructability as a Red Seal carpenter. With hands-on field experience in construction, she is one of our most valuable field personnel. She has an intuitive understanding of the real-world implications of structural design – she just gets it.
